What Are the Juvéderm Products?

The Juvederm collection fillers are hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers. Specifically, Voluma is meant to add natural-looking volume and lift to the cheeks, and enhance the midface proportions.  Volbella is the softest filler and works well to fill fine lines and give subtle hydration to the lips.  Vollure is firm enough to give some structure but soft enough to look natural.  We use Vollure to fill nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lips, and some cheeks.  Juvederm Ultra XC is a great choice to add volume to the lips, fill the marionette lines and nasolabial folds.

What is the Juvéderm Procedure Like?

At Aesthetic Specialists Med Spa, your Juvéderm treatment will be a quick and easy procedure with minimal discomfort. Before the treatment, you’ll have a topical anesthetic applied to your skin in the treatment area to prevent any discomfort. Next, one of our injectors will use a fine needle to carefully inject the Juvéderm into your facial skin based on your specific aesthetic goals and preferences. Once the injections are finished, you’ll be able to leave and resume your day right away.

What is the Recovery Like?

After your Juvéderm treatment, you should be able to immediately return to work and your normal routine, as no recovery downtime is likely to be needed. However, you will be given detailed instructions to ensure that you heal properly and achieve optimal results. For example, you’ll want to avoid alcohol, tobacco, and direct sunlight for at least a few days after the procedure. You should also refrain from strenuous exercise or anything likely to cause significant sweating for at least 24 hours.

Juvéderm Voluma is known for its long-lasting results, with the effects often remaining for up to two years. Juvederm Volbella can last between 6 to 9 months. Juvederm Ultra and Vollure can last 9 to 12 months.

How quickly will the results appear?

Typically, the results of Juvederm start to appear almost instantly, and the full effects are usually visible within a week.

Does it hurt?

You may feel a slight pinch during the injections, but the topical numbing cream should prevent any significant pain. Juvéderm also contains a small amount of an anesthetic called lidocaine.

How many treatment sessions will I need?

Generally, only one Juvéderm treatment session will be needed to achieve optimal results.
