Smooth Out Those Stubborn Facial Wrinkles With Restylane

When it comes to our facial skin, the aging process can present itself in many ways. For example, many of us start to develop fine lines and wrinkles, including marionette lines and nasolabial folds. As our bodies begin to produce less hyaluronic acid, it’s also common to experience loss of volume in certain areas of the face, which can disrupt facial proportions and contours. At the Aesthetic Specialists Med Spa, we offer Restylane treatment to help our patients restore the youthful glow and fullness of their facial skin.

What Is Restylane?

Restylane is an injectable dermal filler used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while adding natural-looking volume to the facial skin. Restylane is made with synthetic hyaluronic acid, which mimics the hyaluronic acid found naturally in our bodies. This means that when the gel-like substance is injected, it smooths the surrounding facial skin and creates a plump, youthful appearance. Restylane is most commonly used to treat marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and loss of volume.

Benefits of Restylane

Restylane is a powerful dermal filler that can offer quite a few benefits, including:

  • Reduced fine lines and wrinkles
  • Restoration of lost facial volume
  • Smoother, more youthful-looking facial skin
  • Long-lasting, natural-looking results
  • Improved facial proportions
  • Improved self-confidence
  • Little to no recovery time required

Who Is a Candidate for Restylane?

Adults who would like to rejuvenate their facial skin and reduce signs of aging could be good candidates for Restylane. Many candidates for Restylane are experiencing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and/or lost facial volume. It’s also important that ideal candidates are physically healthy, have no allergies to hyaluronic acid, and are free of active skin infections near the treatment area.

The Restylane Procedure

At our medical spa, we’ll make sure that your Restylane treatment is quick, simple, and stress-free. Before the procedure begins, your treatment specialist will apply a topical numbing cream to your facial skin in the targeted area. They will then inject Restylane into your skin using a very fine needle, carefully targeting the injections based on your aesthetic preferences. When the injections are finished, you should be able to leave and resume your day immediately.

What Is the Recovery Like?

Most patients don’t require any recovery downtime after Restylane treatment, so you should be able to return to your normal routine immediately after the procedure. That said, you may experience some mild swelling and redness around the injection sites, and you’ll want to refrain from rubbing or scratching the area for several days. Additionally, you should wait at least 24 hours before you participate in strenuous exercise or physical activity.
